We just got back from our Family Vacation to the Black Hills in South Dakota. We left Monday and stayed the night with our friends the Ross' in Cheyenne,WY. It was fun to see our friends and drive by our old house, church, etc.
When we got to the Black Hills we visited Mt Rushmore, rode a train from the 1880's, and went to Bear Country U.S.A.(A park where you are caged in your vehicle and the animals roam free)
Of course it wouldn't be a Crockett family outing without a few minor hiccups. Thirty miles outside of Hill city (where our cabin was) the van started to lurch and stall. We held our breath that we would just make it to the cabin. When we made it to the cabin the property manager realized she had double booked it. So we spent the first night at the local Comfort Inn. Once we got our lodging and vehicle straightened out we had a lot of fun.
