2008 Crockett Family Newsletter
2008 was a great year for us. Yes, we had a few challenges (as everyone does) but all in all life's great and we are very blessed!

ROB
Rob is still working for Xerox and the flexibility that his job lends continues to make my life a little easier.
He and his brothers played on a flag football team this year, appropriately named Eagle Droppings. In October that team became Provo city League champs. We are also happy to report that nobody sustained any major injuries from their football season.
Rob loves to sneak away to the golf course to play a round or just hit a bucket of balls. Lately you can find he and Porter practicing their golf swings in the front yard.

But the highlight of this past year was the purchase of his new truck. It is his baby and it has some "Sweet Rims!"

CHRISTY
The same month Rob got the truck I totalled the van on the freeway in one of the worst snow storms in Utah's history. Thankfully no one was injured and no other vehicles were involved. Which is a miracle considering I slid across 4 lanes of traffic, hit the center divider and spun back through the lanes of traffic, fnally coming to a stop on the right shoulder. Thank goodness for guardian angels!

I continue my job as head warden over four boys. Every day is a struggle to keep the house standing. But I have been told (by the boys) that I "make the best corn dogs and dino nuggets ever". Blogging, chocolate, shopping, and "household projects" are my release.

PORTER
Porter began Kindergarten this year and is doing very well. He loves to ride the bus and it's no surprise that his favorite part of school is recess.

When he gets home he jumps right on his bike and is off to play with friends. Of course the twins are right behind chasing him up the street.

Porter is a lot of help with his brothers. He is our errand boy and the majority of the time is happy to do it.

He still has quite the imagination. His mind and his mouth are constantly going. He is willing to share his ideas or experiences with anyone who will listen.

TATE

Tate is still a bundle full of energy. To him life is one big race. If it involves running, jumping, throwing, or riding he is there.

He gladly helps with any chore you assign him. In fact he and his brothers constantly fight over who gets to take out the trash. (That is one thing we hope they never stop fighting over).

Tate is always talking about "Fider Man"(spider man), speed racer, and Incredible hulk.

He loves to be outside and play with our next door neighbor Jackson.

AYDEN

Ayden is relatively reserved. But, if you touch his trains or speed racer car he'll loose control. He is always playing in water. In the sink, tub, and cups at the counter. He could spend all day pouring it back and forth.

Lately he and his brothers have been obsessed with the Incredible Hulk. For hours on end they will stomp around saying "HULK Smash!"

Ayden's favorite thing to eat is meatloaf. He will eat a whole meat loaf if you put it in front of him. He would be perfectly content if every night for dinner we had meat loaf and mash potatoes.

LUKE
Luke is such a happy baby and he puts up with his rowdy brothers extremely well. Occasionally a flying lego will nail him in the head and he won't be too happy but, majority of the time he is content to sit and be entertained. He thinks that they are hilarious.

In July Luke spent a week in Primary Children's Medical Center and he has the battle scar to prove it. We were lucky to have doctors who found his intestinal problem and fixed it before any extensive damage was done.

He is my little buddy. When I am having a really bad day I can always count on Luke to not make a fuss. He just chills in his high chair or jumpy while I get the other 3 in line.

What a fun newsletter to read. Your boys are quite characters and I feel like I know them even though I have not spent anytime with them. Sorry to hear about the van but glad you came out uncratched from it. What a snow storm it was. Have a wonderful holiday and beautiful pics of your family.
