We were told by the doctors after the surgery that Luke wouldn't be able to eat until he has pooped and he couldn't go home until he had eaten and pooped again. Robby and I have been anxiously waiting for him to poop. It was to be our light at the end of the tunnel.
Last night Luke pooped! They then fed him 2 oz. of pedia lite. It was the first time he has eaten since 11 a.m. Wednesday. This morning he began drinking 4 oz. of juice every 2 hours and if all continues well he will get a bottle of diluted breast milk for dinner. Yeah!!!! I hope he gets to come home soon. -Christy-

I feel an immense amount of sympathy for you. I also know what it is like to have your infant in the hospital, but luckily enough, she was my first, so I was able to spend the entire time with her. I will pray for your family and let me know if there is anything else I can do.
I'm so sorry to hear about Luke. But I'm glad that he seems to be on the mend. If you ever need anything, please let me know!
