This year we opted to have a more kid oriented New Year's Eve. So we donned our party hat's, raised our plastic champagne glasses, readied our popper's, and had a homemade Happy New Year. It was a lot of fun! Porter asked if we could do that every year. We think that we may have found a new family tradition. Happy 2009 Everybody!!

EVERY time I see your family picture on your blog I think how incredibly beautiful it is!
Kid oriented New Year's ARE fun. At this time in our lives as parents we kind of have the best of both worlds, sometimes kid stuff and sometimes grown up stuff. It's nice to take advantage of that while it lasts.
Christy, I've been reading your blog and have enjoyed them. Your family is beautiful. You make it fun! Last I heard you were living in Wyoming. Did you move? It sounds like you are doing great and you are a wonderful & talented mother.
